Construction of the Parish rectory

After several months of intensive effort and work with the building committee and our parishioners, our parish finally received permission from the local Council (Development Application and Construction Certificate) for the construction of the parish rectory.

The idea of building a parish house on parish property is almost as old as the parish itself. There were different plans and ideas, but the circumstances did not allow it and something else was always more urgent. However, it is important to emphasize that despite various circumstances and difficulties, our parish has achieved amazing success both in terms of spiritual growth and in terms of the development and improvement of the property on which our church is located. For this, we owe a great deal of gratitude to the priests who served our parish and our faithful people.

Finally, this idea came to life again at the beginning of 2021 and was approved by the Church board at the regular annual meeting on October 24 of the same year. According to experts' estimates, it is predicted that this venture will cost the parish $470,000.00, and the board approved a budget in the amount of $450,000.00. It is planned to build a house behind the church hall on the corner of Bungalow Road and Martina Street.

We are aware that this project is too expensive for our parish and that it exceeds our powers, however, we do not rely on our strength but on the mercy of God and the kindness of our faithful people who, with their efforts and God's help, built everything that is on our property. We are looking forward to the soon start of the works.
